Workshops 2016

June 2016 - Hazel Williams

Picture
Hazel introduced us to the world of Modern Quilting with the "Slice and Insert" technique.  She took us through the steps of using this versatile machine piecing technique to produce a variety of crossed line designs for a cushion cover.

With demonstrations of quilting techniques and quick and easy hidden zips we are guaranteed to be able to complete the project.  A very enjoyable day!

April 2016 - Fiona Macaulay Davies

Fiona took us through the process for free form curved piecing and we were all inspired by her many examples and insights into the possibilities that these techniques open up.

With plenty of tea and biscuits to keep up our strength we played with curves and free form piecing. The freedoms of these techniques are really inspiring.

As ever, the shared lunch was a delight.
I don't know how we manage it, but there is always a lovely variety to the feast.

All in all a wonderful day.
Thank you Fiona!
